Lead QA Engineer

to join their Manchester-based team. This permanent role offers up to

£100,000 per annum

and requires a hybrid working arrangement of

2-3 days per week in the office . In this pivotal role, you’ll manage a squad of 2-3 QA Engineers, overseeing quality assurance across critical systems, frameworks, and applications. What’s in it for you? Career Growth:

Contribute to evolving QA processes and setting benchmarks for quality. What you’ll do: Lead and mentor a QA team within an Agile squad. Design and implement advanced, reusable automation frameworks using

Selenium . Embed test execution and reporting into CI/CD pipelines, aligning with DevOps strategies. Collaborate across teams, including business analysts and developers, to refine test strategies and maintain system integrity. Advocate for

BDD practices

and automate testing early in the development lifecycle. Execute testing for both front-end (UI) and back-end systems, including

APIs

and

event-driven services . What you’ll bring: 8+ years

of automation testing experience, with a focus on

Selenium

and scripting in Java or Python. 4+ years

of hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as

Jenkins, Bamboo, Git , and working in Agile teams. Expertise in

UI testing, API testing (Rest Assured/Open API) , and database testing with

SQL/NoSQL . Proficiency in performance testing tools like

JMeter

or

K6 . Strong knowledge of

BDD methodologies , coupled with the ability to design testable systems. Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver high-quality results in complex environments. Bonus skills that’ll make you stand out: Python expertise with frameworks like

Pandas

and

NumPy . Knowledge of

Kafka ,

Kubernetes , and containerized application testing. Experience in performance validation and testing within CI pipelines. Familiarity with financial services or data-driven platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a
