Lead Software Developer - Liverpool - Remote/Hybrid - Up to £80,000 + Equity We are proud to partner with a start-up technology company dedicated to reducing carbon emissions in the logistics industry. They are looking to onboard a Lead Software Engineer who will drive the development of cutting-edge software solutions and promote an environment of continuous innovation. The successful candidate will build the development team and implement best practices within the environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive software development strategy that aligns with our business goals and fosters long-term growth. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers by overseeing recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the development team. Oversee the planning, execution, and tracking of development projects to ensure timely, within-scope, and budget-compliant delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their technical requirements and deliver solutions that drive overall business performance. Stay ahead of technological trends and innovations to ensure the company maintains a competitive edge in the tech landscape. Manage relationships with external technology providers and vendors to ensure smooth integration with our systems. Oversee the integration of third-party software solutions while ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards. Desired Experience: Proven track record as a Lead Developer, ideally within small, agile teams in tech environments. Expertise in web development, cloud computing, and data management. Essential skills include the MERN stack, GCP App Engine, MongoDB Atlas, and AWS SageMaker. Strong leadership capabilities with a history of guiding and developing team members. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
