As a

Lead Software Engineer

within the Alts Platform group, you lead a technical team that works to build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products on a green field project. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your team and being a driver of innovation and solution delivery.

Job responsibilities

Leads a team of high potential software engineers, delivering high quality software that achieves functional objectives Carries accountability for coding decisions and achieving measures of success Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting Develops secure high-quality code, reviews and debugs code written by the team Ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues Leads evaluation sessions with other internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs Mentors and coaches team members, with a focus on building and managing industry leading products exceeding business expectations Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on IT architecture concepts and proficient advanced experience Experience leading cross-functional teams of technologists Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 5+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Advanced knowledge of front-end languages and frameworks (e.g. typescript/react) Advanced knowledge of server-side languages and frameworks (e.g. Java/SpringBoot) Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages Experience in Microservices architecture Proficient in Database technologies Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Practical cloud native experience - AWS preferred
