Clinical Leadership:
Lead and manage the ultrasound team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality imaging services in line with best practices and national guidelines. Patient-Centered Approach:
Ensure a patient-centred approach in all aspects of service delivery, maintaining high standards of care and communication. Staff Support and Training:
Mentor and support sonographers and other clinical staff, fostering a culture of continuous professional development. Quality Assurance:
Oversee quality control processes, including regular audits and adherence to clinical governance standards. Service Development:
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for service improvement and expansion. Person Specification
Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound - PgDip or equivalent. Registration with a relevant professional body e.g. HCPC. Extensive experience in a range of ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, gynaecological, and general medical imaging. Proven leadership experience within a clinical setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience
Commitment to continuous professional development and education. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Basic understanding of reporting systems and the technical operations around integrated systems. Experience working with NHS protocols. Experience in service development and implementation. An understanding of various ultrasound machines and equipment. Experience in building working relationships with a range of stakeholders. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
