Lead Structural Engineer Duration: 6 month + Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Structural Engineer for an exciting 6-8 month FEED project within the oil and gas industry, UK based. Key Responsibilities: Act as Design Authority in areas of Structural Engineering as delegated by your line manager. To undertake structural engineering activities on assigned projects. Co-ordination of design activities with project engineers and other design engineers and designers. To engage proactively with clients and suppliers as necessary to undertake and deliver work. Engage and proactively liaise with other departments in connection with all live allocated projects. To perform structural design, analysis and checking work. Mentor and coach junior structural engineers as necessary, and generally assist with the development of all trainee engineers in client offices. Utilises the design management element of the Company's management system. Provides structural engineering expertise to projects. Undertakes structural design activities in line with good engineering practice and company design procedures and processes. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience in structural engineering and team leadership. Expertise in hazardous area design (DSEAR/ATEX) and renewable energy systems. Proficiency in structural design, including LV/MV/HV systems and controls. Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver high-quality results.
