What you’ll do Lead a small team of engineers, including PCB layout and mechanical engineers, to ensure our products are managed and maintained for optimum performance. Reduce supply chain risks, optimise manufacturing processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives including improvements in product sustainability. Ensure that every project undergoes meticulous assessment and project management. Rigorously assess components for durability to meet the highest standards of cost-effectiveness, quality, and robustness. Use data analysis to help deliver superior, sustainable products that meet and exceed industry and regulatory standards. What you’ll need HNC or Degree in mechanical or electronic engineering, or equivalent. Relevant experience in electronic product design and development. A strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering solutions. Understanding of quality, reliability, and risk assessment procedures. Good organisation skills, entrepreneurship, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. Detailed knowledge of Injection moulded components and electronic circuit board design and production. Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., SIL, ATEX etc) Exposure to fire/gas detection, instrumentation or at some involvement in a high volume, heavily regulated industry.
