Lead, Talent Acquisition Specialist

Your role: As our HR team continues to grow, we are adding a newly created role of Lead, Talent Acquisition Specialist to support the continuous and exciting growth goals of our fast-paced SaaS company. Your primary contribution will be to help drive the daily operations of Global Relay’s recruitment efforts and oversee the UK recruitment function from a line manager position. Although you’re comfortable working as an individual team member, you like the idea of working as part of a highly collaborative team. Key responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of three Talent Acquisition Specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the HR Director and other senior leaders to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruitment plans. Recruitment Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to candidate onboarding, ensuring a positive candidate experience. Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the talent acquisition function and identify areas for improvement. Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion in the recruitment process, ensuring a diverse pool of candidates for all positions. Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition to continuously improve the recruitment process. Recruitment Events: Manage the talent acquisition events, ensuring cost-effective recruitment strategies to elevate and attract potential candidates Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. About you: 7+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Proven ability to manage and mentor high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, HR standards, and employment regulations. Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (Greenhouse preferred) and advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Flexible and resourceful self-starter who thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments. Experience in the SaaS or high-tech industry is highly desirable. Bachelor’s degree in Human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CIPD qualification is a plus.
