Lead Technician
Lead Technician focuses on coordinate technicians, mechanics, junior mechanics, asw’s and apprentices within the assigned maintenance zone.
What the role involves
- Coordinate technicians, mechanics, junior mechanics, ASW’s and apprentices within the assigned maintenance zone.
- Allocate and prioritise tasks in line with aircraft check status, operational requirements, and operational resources availability.
- Overseeing complex and technically demanding maintenance tasks to ensure quality and compliance.
- Supporting Engineers and Department Supervisors by providing technical and operational assistance as required.
- Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with approved maintenance data and company procedures.
- Reporting maintenance errors, near misses, and any inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous maintenance data via the company reporting system.
Skills and requirements
- Recognised aeronautical training e.g. City &Guilds Level 3, BTEC Level 3, University Degree or Aeronautical Apprenticeship programme.
- Good structural knowledge including ability to carry out structural repairs.
- UK CAA Part 145 approved maintenance organisation.
- Proven track record in a Base Maintenance Technician role within an EASA.
