WHAT TO EXPECT This is your chance to join the Engineering Laboratories – Multi Axis Test Simulation Team, a dynamic group at the forefront of innovation within the Engineering Operations business unit. You will play a pivotal role in system and full vehicle verification using state-of-the-art hydraulic test rigs. Leading a talented team of Engineers and Technicians, you’ll drive the development of advanced test methodologies, ensuring precision and excellence in every step. From analysing and validating critical data to shaping the future of testing processes, this role offers both challenge and reward. We’re looking for someone with attention to detail, a practical understanding of rig testing, and expertise in data validation processes. This double day shift role offers a 16.6% salary increase and a rotating weekly schedule, alternating between morning and afternoon shifts, as well as afternoon and evening shifts. The position also includes the benefit of early finishes on Fridays. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Advanced Expertise in System Verification: Demonstrating a comprehensive, evidence-based understanding of intricate verification and testing methodologies across vehicle development processes. Strategic Test Execution Management: Ensuring punctual delivery of test executions that align precisely with critical vehicle programme gateway milestones and requirements. Rigorous Data Quality Assurance: Implementing robust processes and protocols to validate and maintain the highest standards of data integrity, encompassing both input parameters and output results. Systematic Test Coordination: Efficiently managing and orchestrating complex testing sequences with meticulous attention to scheduling, resource allocation, and procedural compliance. Comprehensive Reporting Excellence: Producing high-calibre, detailed test reports that are timely and accurate, providing actionable insights and clear documentation of testing outcomes. WHAT YOU’LL NEED Structural Performance Testing: Expert in rig-based methodologies for evaluating and optimizing automotive component integrity. Laboratory Management: Proficient in equipment maintenance and calibration for consistent test accuracy and reliability. Workload Planning: Skilled in developing efficient test schedules to meet programme milestones while adapting to challenges. Instrumentation Expertise: Experienced with advanced test equipment and data acquisition systems, including data analysis. Safety Compliance: Well-versed in safety protocols (EC-PL, risk assessments, COSHH), promoting a safety-first testing culture. Creating Modern Luxury requires a modern approach to work.
