Salary: £50K - £58K depending on experience Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4: 30pm. Flexible working hours can be discussed. Location: Maidenhead

About the role:

Working in an innovative educational setting dedicated to 122 pupils with complex needs associated with Autism Spectrum Disorders for ages 4-16 years.

As the Head of Therapies, you will spearhead the therapy services, including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Art Therapists. Your mission will be to drive the development, optimization, and innovation of our therapy services, aligning them closely with the school’s objectives, ethos, and teaching practices.

The aim of the Special Free School is to be a leading provider of education for children and young adults with the primary diagnosis of autism. Combining Applied Behaviour Analysis, evidence based therapy and effective personalised curriculums to enable pupils to fulfil their potential, prepare for adulthood and lead happy lives.

Your main responsibilities as a Lead Therapist Manage your own clinical caseload Provide strategic clinical and operational leadership to our dynamic therapy team. Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver exceptional, cost-effective services. Be a key player in pupil referrals and therapy service optimization. Oversee the financial and resource management within the therapies department. Champion continuous professional development, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.

What we are looking for in a Lead Therapist HCPC registered Strong leadership skills with experience in operational management within therapies. A deep commitment to inclusive education, ABA and a passion for working with pupils with SEN and Autism. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to mentor, coach, and inspire your team.
