Role Profile We are looking for our newest Lead UX Designer to become a part of the Forge family. Key Responsibilities You will be a constant role model for the Sykes values, and ensure they become a way of working for the whole team giving every customer (internal and external) a ‘World Class Customer Experience’. Solving problems through an insight led, lean UX process. Using multiple methods and techniques to generate design solutions. Connecting with and understanding the needs of the user. Defining and uncovering the right problems through relevant questioning. Working with stakeholders to gather and understand design requirements. Sharing and articulating design decisions with stakeholders. Planning work across all phases of design using a structured approach. Collaborating with researchers to deliver informed design solutions. Working with researchers to understand if solutions are fit for purpose. Collaborating with developers on solutions and design handovers. Supporting other designers with larger business projects. Taking ownership of key objectives including personal growth & development. Reviewing designs generated by others to ensure consistency and quality. Promoting and driving a user centric approach within the product lifecycle. Managing, coaching and guiding new and existing team members. Owning, championing and driving improvements to UX tools or processes. Influencing and shaping product roadmaps and key deliverables. Managing the prioritisation and flow of work across multiple designers. Driving and supporting strategic business initiatives that align to company objectives. Manage stakeholder expectations of timelines and deliverables. Represent UX and the wider department in relevant meetings. Play a role in shaping and developing the UX team culture. Recommend changes to systems and procedures to improve the efficiency of the site operations. Continually review operational practices to ensure best practice is delivered at all times. Work in accordance with the Data Protection Act (1998) and to ensure all new systems and data are secure.
