We are currently seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a professional and experienced team of mixed practitioners at a wonderful practice in a well sought after town. The successful candidate will lead a specific area of the business, preferably in either small animal or farm disciplines, whilst working closely with the Clinical Directors, CNM and the Practice Manager as a member of the practice leadership team.

This long established and successful mixed practice is located in the beautiful and unspoiled Scottish Borders. They are a purpose-built, RCVS accredited practice that provides excellent care for small animals, farm animals and equines. They pride themselves on their enthusiasm and forward thinking, and they ensure they are always looking for new ways to modernise.

This purpose-built practice is well-equipped with multiparameter monitoring for anaesthesia, 'Bair' hugger, ultrasound, x-ray, dental x-ray, in-house laboratory, and a fully equipped operating theatre.

As an 'all-rounder' vet with experience, you will be responsible for mentoring colleagues and helping work towards further development of the services on offer. The role will combine clinical expertise with some elements of business leadership, assisting with workflow and day-to-day management, people skills and drive project management.

The Rota: •

Full time role - Part time applications will be considered •

4.5 day week •

1:5 weekends on-call •

1 night per week on-call
