Lead Veterinary Surgeon Bradford. £50k-£55k per annum Kindness, openness, and support are three things that this practice has in abundance, and they are recruiting. If you are looking for a new supportive home where you can develop, look no further than here. Regular CPD is offered and encouraged, while certificates are fully supported. Based in Bradford, this progressive independent practice with an experienced team of veterinary professionals offers clinical freedom, autonomy, and a place to develop and grow. It is no secret that being a vet is hard work. The more cases you work on, the more adept you become. Developing through experience can be long and demanding, often leading to little work-life balance. At this practice, they do not believe in overworking their vets, which is why they have scheduled breaks throughout the day with flexible consult times to allow you to build relationships and provide the best possible care to each patient. As a confident and experienced lead vet in an expanding practice with a strong and loyal client base, you will be involved right from the start. There is plenty of variety here, rewarding work with clinical freedom, and many interesting cases to see through from the beginning. Reassuringly, they have an experienced team of nurses you can rely on at all times. They also have close links to a local cat rescue charity, presenting you with challenging, rewarding, and interesting cases. If you are ambitious and want to be part of their success, potential partnership opportunities are available for the right person. The beauty of being independent is that you aren’t micro-managed, there are no silly targets for vets, and being sole charge most of the time means no one is telling you what to do from afar—the job is tough enough without adding additional stress! The rota is fair and sensible: 40 hours over 4 days, with 1:3 Saturday mornings from 9am-12pm and no out-of-hours work. Based in Bradford, the City of Culture 2025, you have all the amenities you could ask for within walking distance of the practice—shopping, bars, restaurants, and some of the best curry houses in the UK. Conveniently located for the North York Moors, with the cities of Leeds, York, and Harrogate all less than an hour away, what’s not to like? So, what’s next? Send your CV; don’t worry if it’s not up to date. We can’t get the whole story in a job ad, so feel free to ask any questions. I’ll answer honestly, no hard sell.
