Full Time Our client - a small animal practice - is recruiting a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their talented team.

You will play a pivotal role in diagnosing, treating, and managing various medical conditions in a small animal practice as well as leading a team. Using a combination of your medical expertise, surgical proficiency, and communication skills to provide exceptional care, ensuring the health and happiness of your patients and clients.

The role is working full time 4 days per week plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings; however, part-time applicants are also welcomed.

You will be competent in clinical examination, routine surgery, and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our values of being trustworthy, caring, and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, building trusting relationships with your colleagues, and harnessing their one team culture. You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

Our client offers an excellent package with a competitive salary of up to £75,000 per annum including Private Medical Insurance from day one, Health cash plan from day one (covering dental, physio, and optical services) with 24/7 Private GP Service, Quarterly Lead Vet Contribution Scheme with the potential to earn up to 20% on top of your salary, an additional ‘Day for You’ as a paid day’s leave for you to use as you wish, 33 days’ annual leave (including Bank Holidays) rising to 38 with length of service, Clinical CPD: £1,500 per year plus 3 days’ paid leave, Sabbatical based on length of service, VDS, RCVS, and BVA fees paid, and plenty more.
