Working on-rota systems 8am-8pm (Monday to Friday) and 8am-4pm (Saturday) within supported housing settings across Birmingham. To provide early and targeted support to aid the recovery and resilience of single adults or childless couples with multiple vulnerabilities, working flexibly across the city supporting people in their own homes within supported housing settings, or in locations of their choice. Working closely with Housing Management and Concierge staff to provide seamless support to service users. Maximising income, and rent/service charge collection is a priority, to enable move-on for service users. Demonstrating a commitment to safeguarding in line with policy and procedure you will support vulnerable adults to develop the knowledge and skills they need to better manage their lives, including accessing appropriate services, empowering them to build successful relationships within their community, improving health and well being and increasing levels of independence as they move through a prevention pathway model. A positive attitude around working with people with multiple vulnerabilities. Experience of agile working across locations to support a case load of customers is desirable. Excellent communication skills. Proficient in using IT packages to capture all elements of support provided and producing databases and reports when required. Ability to keep accurate and contractually compliant records. A relevant qualification specific to the role is desirable but not essential. An understanding of the health and social care needs of the people receiving the service. A working knowledge of legislation in regards to delivering support to young people. Experience in facilitating customer involvement. Delivery of a customer focussed approach. The ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and professionals within partner agencies. Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines. Ability to work in a target driven environment and deliver the outcomes associated with the contract.
