Responsibilities: Teach learners effectively for a scheduled timetable of contact hours. This includes planning, delivery, assessment and tracking of learning. Interview and provide initial assessment and guidance to learners. Monitor, evaluate and assess individual learner progress and achievement, including internal quality assurance as required. Undertake regular tripartite reviews at the employer’s premises. Develop and lead courses under the supervision of a line manager. Contribute to the company’s quality initiatives including self-assessment, observation, appraisal and the mentoring and support of colleagues. Provide schemes of work, lesson plans, tracking of individual learner progress and participate in the development of teaching materials and resources. Monitor learners’ attendance and progress. Provide additional learning support as appropriate. Contribute to and take up staff development opportunities. Assist with non-teaching tasks such as attending company events, exam invigilating, induction events and award ceremonies. Assist in publicity and marketing of the company and its services. Agree personal work objectives with the line manager and to regularly review progress towards their achievement. Actively provide information, advice, and guidance (IAG) to all learners, colleagues, and peers. Qualifications & Skills/Abilities: Holds an appropriate level qualification in the curriculum area relevant to the role. Desirable, but not essential, to hold a teacher training qualification and Assessor Award. Organisational skills. Good teamworking skills. Benefits: Competitive salary £29,000 - £40,000 (potentially higher for the right level of qualifications and experience).
