Working Hours:

35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm but additional hours may be required. We are happy to consider agile and flexible working patterns. Our approach to hybrid working allows for up to 40% of time working from home and 60% working in the office.

Department Description:

HL Learn, the global Learning and Development team, is part of the firm’s People function and supports the firm’s People strategy through various development programs, workshops, coaching, mentoring, online learning, and other career development activities.

Role Overview:

The Learning and Development Adviser will support the design and delivery of skills development programmes and workshops for lawyers and the Business Team in the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Develop, plan, coordinate and deliver in-person milestone programmes and core professional workshops for lawyers across the EMEA region.

Manage design and delivery of in-person and virtual professional skills workshops for the Business Team in EMEA.

Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify training needs and develop learning solutions.

Supervise the Learning and Development Coordinators or Administrators supporting the relevant programmes.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external faculty.

Manage training resources, including materials, budgets, and external vendors.

Track and oversee programme costs and contribute to the annual budget process.

Design and facilitate training sessions, focus groups, and presentations.

Review and evaluate the effectiveness of development offerings.

Keep up to date with the latest trends and propose new topics for programs.

Prepare internal promotional communications.

Be a point of contact for learning and development queries.

Other Responsibilities:

Support other EMEA development activities according to capacity.

Person Specification:

Qualifications & Training:

Several years’ experience in a Learning and Development role in a professional services environment.

Professional certification in learning and development (e.g. CIPD) is desirable.

Strong knowledge of the MS Office suite and learning management systems.

General Attributes:
