About the role: The Learning and Development Manager for Consumer Foods will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of employees within the Consumer Foods Business Unit. This role involves assessing development needs, creating learning strategies, and ensuring that training initiatives align with the company's goals and improve operational effectiveness and efficiency. Key Accountabilities of the role: Develop and implement comprehensive learning strategies and development programs tailored to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Consumer Foods Management teams, colleagues and the wider business. Track and analyse training effectiveness through key performance metrics and adjust training programs as needed to drive results. Working with Functional heads, develop pathways for progression across all levels – building in as required on-the-job experience, attaining qualifications & leadership skills. Design and deliver e-learning courses, in-person workshops, and other training sessions using different methods such as simulation, coaching, role-playing, mentoring, and on-the-job training. Operationalise training, taking it out of the classroom/theory and into the working day – coaching, supporting, and challenging Managers to adopt the learnings. Assess individual and organisational development needs through surveys, interviews, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with function heads and managers to identify development needs and align learning initiatives with business objectives. Manage budgets for training programs and maintain relationships with external vendors and consultants. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making improvements as necessary. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the organisation. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in learning and development. Lead the implementation and ongoing utilisation of learning management system across Consumer Foods. Manage the Talent & Succession reviews across all functions, collaborating with the function leads and Senior HRBP’s to ensure individual development plans are robust – linked to career discussions and PDPs and a talent pipeline identified for critical roles. PDR collation/quality review. Develop pathways for progression across all levels – building in as required on-the-job experience, attaining qualifications & leadership skills. Apprenticeships – ensure the quality of our current apprenticeships, apprentices have the internal support they require and identify opportunities to further enhance the apprenticeship offer, utilising programmes to support the talent pipeline requirements of the BU. Co-ordinate all placements MDS/Grads etc ensuring they have a robust programme, and we are clear on what the business will gain from the role. Utilise data from various sources to identify training needs. Mentoring – targeted approach in BU. Provide regular reporting/data to keep learning high on the agenda. Celebrate progression measuring and reporting on promotion and development moves. Bring the internal opportunities to life to foster cross-functional careers – roadshows, job trials etc. Attend careers fairs/external organisations/schools, colleges etc – to drive talent pipeline/grow future food careers and promote Noble Foods. Maximise Noble Foods Apprenticeship Levy sharing fund utilisation. Identify ways to further utilise the Cornerstone platform for trainee development. About You - Skills and Experience: Experience in a Learning and Development or similar role. Able to create/adapt content to meet the needs of its target audience. Strong understanding of effective learning and development methods. Confident presenter. Excellent communication and project management skills. Experience with e-learning platforms and practices. Ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to influence at all levels. Ideally worked in an FMCG business. Shift Pattern:
