An exciting opportunity to join CPFT's Learning and Organisational Development Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover senior management secondment periods. The Learning and Organisational Development Team are key components in the work of CPFT, with the primary responsibility of supporting a safe, responsive, and effective workforce and developing the skill and knowledge of CPFT staff based on best practices in line with supporting the Trust culture and values. Main duties of the job

Support the Associate Director of Leadership, OD & Learning to provide an outstanding learning & organisational development service and specialist professional advice to the Trust. Maintain and develop key relationships internally across all directorates to enable our workforce to provide high-quality patient care. Ensure a collaborative approach to our wider stakeholder partnerships across the ICS and region to meet statutory obligations. Progress and deliver key project elements related to business planning, contract management, and efficiencies across the L&OD team. Working for our organisation

Engage all sub-teams within the L&OD team to work towards common goals and align business processes. Monitor and measure Trust compliance for training and development programmes. Deliver punctual and precise contract management, reporting to NHSE and financial management for SLAs. Build effective, positive, and collaborative working relationships with managers and staff. Support the AD of L&OD to deliver the Trust’s strategic objective to offer the best staff experience in the NHS. Manage equality and diversity issues that may arise. Work flexibly across multiple sites as required by business needs. Embed the Trust’s values and behaviours in all L&OD activities. Work with learning and development colleagues to develop a cohesive offer to staff. Provide advice and support on L&OD methodology and tools. Embed the PRIDE Values in all L&OD activity aligned to Well Led governance. Maintain, monitor, review, and oversee L&OD business plans. Evaluate the quality, impact, and return on investment of offerings, producing quarterly and annual reports. Person specification

Education & Qualifications

Educated to Masters level or equivalent knowledge and experience in relevant field (e.g., HR management, Learning & Development). Evidence of continued professional development. CIPD Member. Qualified Coach. Experience

Proven experience with a range of leadership and organisational development issues. Strong track record of planning and evaluating L&OD interventions. Experience managing high performing teams. Experience supporting culture change and quality improvement. Proven ability to influence, inspire, and manage staff effectively. Experience developing initiatives using the 70-20-10 learning philosophy. Experience delivering/supporting programmes. Knowledge and Skills

Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to influence and develop positive working relationships. Skilled in using programme management models and business planning tools. Highly effective presentation and organisational skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, report writing, and decision-making skills. Skilled in using Microsoft Teams and Zoom for training and evaluations. Knowledge of the NHS People Plan and Long Term Workforce Plan. Knowledge and experience of project and programme management. CPFT is looking to build upon its pool of temporary workers with Temporary Staffing Services (TSS). You will be asked at interview if you would be willing to register with TSS.
