Job Purpose / Role Overview Learning Design and Quality Assurance (QA) Manager

oversees the quality and pedagogical integrity of our online learning resources. They ensure that all CPD products meet the highest standards, applying learning design principles for adult learners to enhance effectiveness and engagement. Working closely with subject matter experts, programme managers, and the production team, the Learning Design and QA Manager plays a crucial role in creating content that aligns with our brand and vision. Key Responsibilities Learning Design and Quality Assurance: Apply learning design principles to ensure high pedagogical quality across all programmes, modules, and short courses. Collaborate with subject matter experts, programme managers, and the production team to develop content, activities, and assessments tailored for adult learners. Ensure resources and activities are: Effective : Presenting clear, concise content that’s easy to understand without compromising academic rigour. Engaging : Designing experiences that motivate learners to complete courses with high satisfaction. Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews of webinars, courses, and video resources to maintain consistency and quality. Oversee the creation and implementation of assessments, course handbooks, and supplementary materials. AI Integration and Efficiency: Integrate AI tools to boost productivity and streamline content creation processes. Quality-control AI-generated outputs, direct prompt engineering efforts, and manage AI training to enhance its accuracy and relevance. Lead the successful rollout of AI solutions across sub-teams and staff, ensuring effective implementation and user training. Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of content review executives to deliver high-quality work. Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet production schedules and maintain quality benchmarks. Experience Solid understanding of the UK education system. Proven experience in applying pedagogical principles to online learning for adult learners. Experience collaborating with subject matter experts to create high-quality educational content. Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of learning design principles and their application. Demonstrable experience in selecting and presenting complex ideas clearly and creatively. Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with audio-visual elements, from design and recording to editing and implementation. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital learning tools.
