Learning and Development Manager

About the role: You will create and shape, largely from scratch, a learning culture and programme for early careers, professional development, leadership and talent programmes across the whole business. You will partner with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver solutions and learning platforms that grow and develop the best talent. This role requires a strong understanding of learning methodologies, facilitation and manager development experience along with a genuine passion for nurturing talent. What you’ll do: Learning strategy: Identify clear learning objectives that are aligned with aligned with business objectives. Growth mindset: Develop a learning culture, approach and solutions that deliver current and future developmental needs of the entire learner population. Learning programmes: Design, delivery, and deployment of leadership and management training programs and provision of ongoing initiatives that improve business performance and build individual capability. Manager development: Development of skills and behaviours and a positive management culture that underpins our ability to succeed on the track. Business compliance through learning: Take ownership of the mandatory learning programmes, working with subject matter experts and learning providers to ensure comprehensive coverage of key topics and ongoing compliance, tracking and reporting on essential learning and compliance. Early talent development: Lead the design and delivery of engaging programmes for early talent. Skills and Knowledge Required: Proven success in designing and delivering learning solutions at all levels. Experience of manager development and coaching. Proven experience as a strong partner, adviser, and collaborator; Able to develop trusting relationships with diverse stakeholders and HR peers to gain support, influence, eliminate barriers and achieve results. Management and experience of working with learning platforms. Excellent communication and relationship building skills. Proactive, creative and adaptable to change. Knowledge of learning technologies.
