Bridgestone Mining Solutions Australia (BMSA) is a market leader in the OTR (Off the Road) Tyre industry and is renowned for its global reputation for quality products, continuous improvement & cutting-edge application of technology.

Otraco (a subsidiary of BMSA) is a world leading provider of Earthmover and Off-road tyre management services to the mining industry.

We have an amazing opportunity for an autonomous, astute and proactive L&D Specialist to join our People, Culture & Governance (PC&G) Team. This role can be based in Western Australia (Kewdale in Perth) or in NSW (Sydney Olympic Park in Sydney or Mt Thorley in the Hunter Valley).

The key purpose of this role is to support business operations nationally through the effective design, development and execution of learning, development and training programs as well as assurance, governance and compliance management across Australia.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Plan, manage and develop an emerging L&D program across the BMSA and Otraco businesses

Advise and support the BMSA and Otraco business with learning, development and training

Provide advice around compliance and operational training needs to meet our business requirements / priorities

Build and maintain effective relationships that allow you to design, develop and execute solutions in an environment where other priorities exist

Undertake yearly training needs analysis to contribute to creation of an enterprise wide L&D Strategy

Develop a range of enterprise based learning solutions in partnership with SMEs from those areas ie; finance, IT, corporate planning, operations

Design, develop and deliver soft skills programs across the enterprise

Support the delivery of agreed BMSA and Otraco programs including distributing communications, program management and recording of completed training and competencies

Manage the development planning process out of the performance review process

Source external training opportunities for employees if required

Undertake other L&D related activities as directed

Support learning, development and training needs around health and safety

Administrative Governance of BMSA and Otraco L&D training programs

About You:

Whilst autonomy is important, teamwork is an essential element of the way you work

Proven experience in learning project management and consulting

Experience working in a large operational organisation with a diverse workforce

An appetite to get out to site and to our branches to experience first hand what we do so that we can deliver impactful solutions

Cert IV in Training & Assessing is advantageous but not essential

5+ years’ experience in a similar role

Demonstrated experience with training records management; compliance and auditing

An understanding of RTOs and associated programs, qualifications and governance requirements

Proficiency and knowledge of working with various learning management systems

Solutions orientated and able to respond to a rapidly changing environment

Relationship builder who can communicate at all levels

An understanding of Centres of Excellence and how they can support and drive outcomes
