Teddington About the Role We are seeking an Assistant Service Manager to play a vital role in supporting both the team and individuals with a learning disability care provider. They provide a diverse range of needs, including autism, mental health conditions, Down syndrome, moderate learning disabilities, and challenging behaviours. Langdon Park consists of three connected houses, with a current team of one manager and six support workers providing care for nine individuals. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Management:

Supervise, motivate, and coach a team of support workers. Act as the Service Manager in their absence. Oversee staff training, development, and performance (e.g., supervisions, probation management). Manage rotas effectively.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

Conduct weekly and monthly audits (finance, medication). Ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Oversee medication management (ordering, storage, disposal).

Support for Individuals:

Provide day-to-day care, both at home and in the community. Promote personal development and independence through tailored activities (e.g., arts & crafts, gardening, swimming, social outings). Assist with personal care needs.

Decision-Making:

Use management data to make informed decisions. Foster a solution-focused and person-centred culture.

What You'll Bring Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities or mental health needs. Supervisory or management experience (or willingness to train for it). A passion for providing person-centred support. Organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively under pressure. Flexibility to work various shifts.
