The Football Association has an exciting opportunity for a Learning Project and Risk Lead to join our FA Learning division, on a 9-month fixed-term contract. Role Overview:

The Learning Project and Risk Lead will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of learning and innovation activity by managing projects and risks. The role ensures that project objectives align with business demands while mitigating risk to deliver high-quality outcomes. What will you be doing?

Manage strategic priority projects including Digital System Transition and qualification design within the learning and innovation (L&I) team. Manage risk across strategic and core learning activity within the L&I team, ensuring potential challenges are identified and mitigated proactively. Work closely with the Head of and Senior Leads in L&I to deliver high-priority projects and mitigate risk. Track and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle, providing solutions for risk mitigation. Assess and evaluate project and resource requirements for the L&I team to align with business demands. Monitor and report risk trends to the Strategy, Data and Insights team. Execute additional tasks as required to meet FA Group's changing priorities. Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and well-being. Complete a DBS check as required by the job role. What are we looking for?

Knowledge:

Familiarity with risk management frameworks. Understanding of learning and development trends. Knowledge of financial reporting within a project context. Experience:

Demonstrable experience in risk management. Experience negotiating and managing project budgets. Skills:

Analytical skills to track and mitigate risks. Strong project management skills. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana). Beneficial to have:

Knowledge:

Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Project Management, or related field. Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile). Experience:

Previous experience in a Learning and Development function. Experience managing projects with cross-divisional stakeholders. Skills:
