The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs throughout their day at school. Your duties will consist of encouraging children to participate in academic, physical, or sensory lessons tailored by class teachers. The additional needs you will encounter include Autism, SLD, PMLD (Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities), and students with behaviours that challenge such as ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), and heightened anxieties. Requirements
To be considered for the Learning Support Assistant position, you will have:
Previous experience of working with behaviours that challenge is highly desirable.
An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or the willingness to apply for one.
The ability to work on initiative and proactively.
The desire to work with young people with special educational needs.
A driving licence and car or accessible public transport links.
Availability Monday to Friday.
