Role Overview: The college is seeking a dedicated and proactive Learning Support Manager to oversee the Additional Learning Support (ALS) provision. This important role involves managing support services to ensure a high-quality, efficient, and legally compliant learning environment that enables student success. The post holder will lead a team of Learning Support Assistants and work collaboratively with staff to implement effective support strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate the delivery of Additional Learning Support across the college. Oversee the deployment of resources and staffing to meet learners' support needs. Maintain accurate records in compliance with ESFA funding and Ofsted requirements. Conduct audits and observations of support services to ensure quality. Lead the recruitment, induction, and performance management of Learning Support Assistants, including BSL signers. Liaise with curriculum teams to advise on support strategies and resources. Collaborate with the exams team to implement access arrangements. Monitor and analyse data to enhance the effectiveness of support provision. Essential Requirements:

Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant field. Experience managing additional learning support in a post-16 educational setting. Strong understanding of current curriculum developments and ALS funding. Excellent organisational, communication, and ICT skills. Proven leadership and team management capabilities. Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and diversity. Desirable:

Level 7 Postgraduate Award of Proficiency in Assessment for Access Arrangements (or equivalent). Why Join This Organisation?
