As a Level 2 Lecturer of Bricklaying at East Kent Colleges Group, you will inspire and empower students by teaching, training, and assessing them across various learning environments, ensuring an exceptional educational experience. Your role will involve providing dedicated support to help learners reach their full potential, while leading designated study programs and courses. You'll play a key part in designing, delivering, and evaluating these programs, shaping the future of aspiring bricklayers and fostering their success.

What does a typical day look like?

Greeting students into sessions Demonstrating new skills to learners in the practical environment Provide support and encouragement to learners Taking registers and maintaining tracking of practical work Assessing student work against a mark scheme to award students a score for each piece of work they produce Carry out mixing activities using a Pan Mixer We pride ourselves in the support we can give those who are new to teaching, with ongoing training and coaching through our

About You The ideal candidate will be highly organised, creative and be able to plan and teach engaging and innovative lessons with demonstrated interpersonal skills. Assessing and tracking student progress, to further plan intervention this will be a vital part of the role and ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed. Ideally you will have experience in: Teaching or have delivered training in the workplace (although this isn't essential as training will be offered to the successful applicant) You must be empathetic towards learners Have strong class management skills The successful candidate will be able to teach a range of designated study programs and/or courses from Level 1 up to Level 3 and will be able to motivate learners to achieve and succeed on their programmes of study. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Employees can move up the salary scale once one full academic year of teaching for our group is complete, subject to approval.
