We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Criminology and Sociology to deliver teaching and learning in these disciplines, to undertake research and publish in high quality journals, and to develop the profile of the Department and related programmes both nationally and internationally. The successful candidate will become a member of a team contributing to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision across the Social Sciences. A key responsibility of this post holder will be to lead the development of a new masters' programme in the area of global security, drawing on the expertise of colleagues across the department and in related areas. Responsibilities

Deliver teaching and learning in Criminology and Sociology. Undertake research and publish in high quality journals. Develop the profile of the Department and related programmes. Lead the development of a new masters' programme in global security. Minimum Requirements

We are looking for an individual with: A PhD (or near completion/equivalent) in a relevant discipline. Experience of teaching and supervising in criminology/sociology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Experience of module and teaching administration. Research expertise in a relevant specialism. Experience in relation to inclusive learning and disability.
