The Aston School of Computer Science and Digital Technologies is looking for a lecturer in Cyber Security to help reinforce its research and teaching in the area. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across several areas of the computer science and cyber security curricula. A knowledge of ethical hacking would be an advantage. A successful candidate would be someone with a strong research area in Cyber Security but could also be a Computer Scientist with a track record of research or pedagogical innovation in the area of Cyber Security. Aston University has a very ambitious strategy in digital technologies, which benefits the school directly in both its research and teaching environments, providing exciting opportunities to develop one’s research and teaching career. The school is experiencing a period of growth in terms of research activity and student recruitment in the digital sciences: computer science, cyber security, artificial intelligence, and data science. The candidate has an opportunity to carry out research within a growing cyber security group within the school. Collaborations are possible with a number of research centres and institutes within the University, and candidates are encouraged to look at our website for more information. The successful candidate will be expected to have an excellent research track record, commensurate with their career stage, and show signs of innovative and independent thinking.
