About the Role: You will be joining the successful Sensory Sciences team: a leading provider of quality clinical education in Optometry, Ophthalmic Dispensing and Audiology, located in the Faculty of Science and Engineering on our Cambridge campus. We are forward-looking and enthusiastic, with a vision that combines a strong civic commitment to our region with excellence in learning and teaching. We are seeking an experienced and motivated academic in Optometry to contribute to teaching, administration and clinical supervision on our Optometry courses. Responsibilities: Contribute to teaching, administration, and clinical supervision on Optometry courses. Engage in research and associated scholarly & consulting activities. Participate in the broad range of the School’s teaching portfolio, particularly the MOptom course. Minimum Requirements: For Lecturer or Senior Lecturer: PhD or Professional Doctorate in a relevant discipline or within 18 months of completion, experience of teaching in a higher education setting, current professional qualifications including registration with the General Optical Council. For Lecturer Practitioner or Senior Lecturer Practitioner: Degree in a relevant discipline, extensive post-qualification CPD, registration with the General Optical Council, experience working as an Optometrist.
