Legacy Fundraising Manager

  • Salary: £46,000-£48,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Hours: 4 or 5 days per week (full time hours 35 per week). Flexible working options available.
  • Location: Central London 1-2 days per week in the office.
  • Contract Type: Initially temporary 3-6 months, there is scope for the role to be extended to a permanent offer.
  • Start: Immediate start is essential

Charity People are delighted to be partnering with a charity that provides social services, emergency relief, and community support, addressing poverty, homelessness, addiction, and spiritual needs globally.

As Legacy Fundraising Manager, you will project-manage multi-channel campaigns to inspire supporters to leave a gift in their Will. Reporting to the Head of Legacy Fundraising, you will play a key role in delivering strategic goals, managing an expenditure budget of £1.3m, and ensuring our legacy programme continues to grow sustainably.

You will:

  • Develop and Deliver Campaigns: Plan and execute direct, digital, and internal marketing campaigns to drive acquisition and retention.
  • Optimise Digital Presence: Collaborate with digital agencies to create a robust online legacy programme, utilising PPC, search, and social media.
  • Steward Relationships: Engage with current and prospective supporters through impactful stewardship journeys.
  • Analyse and Report: Monitor KPIs and budget performance, delivering insights and forecasts to inform future strategies.
  • Lead and Inspire: Manage and develop a high-performing team, fostering growth and innovation.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to promote and grow legacy giving.

About You

You have:

  • Proven Expertise: Substantial experience in legacy fundraising, including campaign management, budget oversight, and compliance with fundraising regulations.
  • Strategic Insight: A track record of delivering operational plans tailored to organisational values and priorities.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex supporter data and inform strategic decisions.
  • Exceptional Communication: The ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels and craft compelling narratives that inspire action.
  • Leadership Skills: Successful experience managing and developing staff, motivating them to achieve shared goals.

You may also have:

  • Professional qualifications in fundraising or marketing (e.g., CIOF, CIM).
  • Experience in a social welfare charity or related sector.
