– based in Barrow in Furness We are looking for a team player with strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to support our busy criminal department. Daily duties and responsibilities will include: Supporting the fee earners in managing calendars, reminding them of upcoming deadlines, court appearances, and other important events. Producing attendance notes and legal documentation using digital dictation software. Initiating and participating in video links to court with clients. Answering phone calls, taking messages and handling general inquiries from clients, court personnel, and other parties involved in criminal cases. Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information, exercising discretion and professionalism in handling case-related materials and dealing with clients. Ability to work within a case management system and must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and good keyboard skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and prioritising tasks effectively. They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills (minimum GCSE Grade 4-9/A-C or equivalent in English and Mathematics) as well as discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
