Take a proactive approach to supporting the Lawyers, Senior Lawyers, Principal Lawyers, and Legal Services Business Partner in managing their cases. Take a flexible approach to working across Legal Services in providing support. Support the improvement of the administrative processes for the service through the use of electronic systems (amongst other things) and Legal Services’ Case Management System. Under the direction of the lawyers, prepare standard legal documents and correspondence forming part of the work of Legal Services. Provide an efficient and effective support service to the lawyers to facilitate legal meetings, court hearings, inquiries, and committee meetings. Prepare and maintain statistics relevant to each area as required by the Principal Lawyer and Legal Services Business Partner. Deal with general enquiries relevant to the work of Legal Services. Assist the Team with time-sensitive court matters (e.g., bundling). Assist with general correspondence (i.e., sending out letters via DocMail). Assist with the invoicing process as well as opening files on our case management system. Arrange meetings and make telephone calls to help with ICT queries. Be a point of contact with our Service Area clients. Monitor our general inbox and allocate matters or queries to the relevant lawyers. Personal Requirements:
Previous experience of the provision of administrative support. Experience of working in a legal environment (Desirable). Experience of working in local government (Desirable). Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Outlook. Good IT skills, including the ability to use a case management system and introduce changes to improve service delivery through the use of the system. NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration (Desirable). Working Hours:
37hrs / 9:00am - 17:00pm / Monday to Friday Pay:
£17.74 p/h Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
