The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, ambitious, able to learn quickly and work diligently and professionally in pursuit of our clients’ instructions. You should be capable of prioritising work in such a way as to ensure that the firm’s billing is progressed efficiently and so, excellent clerical, communication and administration skills will be required. The role involves other necessary tasks to aid in the progression and management of client cases. Legal Aid Billing Experience Good knowledge of all aspect of Family Legal Aid History of working with Legal Aid KPI’s and audits Prepare/finalise and submit Legal Aid Bills Apply for Payments on Accounts (POA) Knowledge of VHCC submissions Knowledge of the CCMS system Liaise with the relevant bodies in relation to Counsel Fees, Court fees, Process Server fees and Disbursements in a timely manner Chase final orders from the Court and chase Legal Aid Certificates Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Proven experience of prioritising workloads to coincide with billing requirements. Excellent IT Skills with proven knowledge of working with Excel What we offer
