Legal Assistant Family Care Edgbaston Full time, permanent opportunity We are looking for a meticulous Legal Assistant, committed to the protection of children to join our fast-paced and busy practice, with ideally a minimum of 6 months experience within a similar role in a Family department. As a Legal Assistant, you will be expected to assist lawyers in the administration and management of a wide range of public law family law matters from inception through to completion. What the job involves: Diary management of team members within the department as well as typing from digital dictation, drafting and proof-reading documentation. Proactively and professionally handling a wide range of queries with email and telephone. Drafting Legal Aid Applications and managing notifications on CCMS. Downloading and marshalling documents from the HMCTS Portal. Preparing Bundles for Court as needed. What you need: To ideally have at least 6 months experience in a public law, Family Department in an administration function. Able to demonstrate practical knowledge of the requisite area of law; Excellent administrative, planning, organisation and time management as well as being proficient in a variety of IT software, including all MS Office applications.
