Spinwell is recruiting for a Legal Assistant for an excellent opportunity within the public sector. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE LEGAL ASSISTANT To be organised, flexible, work well under pressure & enjoy a challenge; Assist our Team with time sensitive court matters (e.g. bundling) Assist with our general correspondence (i.e. sending out letters via DocMail) Assist with our invoicing process as well as opening files on our case management system. Arrange meetings, make telephone calls to help with ICT queries etc. Be a point of contact with our Service Area clients. Monitor our general inbox and allocate matters or queries to the relevant lawyers. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE LEGAL ASSISTANT Previous experience of the provision of administrative support. Good communication skills both written and verbal. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Outlook. Good IT skills including the ability to use a case management system together with the ability to introduce changes to improve service delivery through the use of the system. Good interpersonal skills to be able to deal with staff, other organisations and members of the public courteously and efficiently in person and by telephone. Ability to organise own work load and identify priorities. Able to handle sensitive issues with tact and confidentiality. Demonstrates Gloucestershire Employee Behaviours. Be adaptable, flexible, open to change, enthusiastic, creative, self-starter and focused. Be a team worker. 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English) or equivalent.
