Legal Cashier, Edinburgh £25,000 - £30,000 (+/- DOE) Excellent working conditions and benefits package Rae McCabe Associates is delighted to be working in partnership with this leading and prestigious Scottish law firm, actively recruiting a Legal Cashier to join their busy Cashroom. Based within the wider Finance division, the team is headed up by a supportive and highly personable Cashroom Manager who leads the team in providing a seamless Cashroom service, supporting all accounting transactions across the firm. The team is friendly and works well together. Based in the city centre of Edinburgh, the firm offers an outstanding working environment in a modern office which utilises state-of-the-art technology. We welcome applications from candidates at varying stages of their career and experience. Salary will be awarded accordingly depending on experience. Duties include: Assisting with daily bank reconciliations, including investigations and analysis Processing CHAPS, BACS and faster payments Processing financial transactions via the firm’s financial management system Opening and closing client bank accounts Ensuring client funds are lodged and uplifted correctly Processing cheque requests Utilising HMRC VAT and Anti-money laundering knowledge and understanding Liaising with fee earners and suppliers, maintaining a good working relationship inside and outside of the firm Essential criteria: Previous experience within a Legal Cashroom Good working knowledge and understanding of Law Society of Scotland Accounts Rules Strong IT skills with a good working knowledge of MS Office Envision or 3E experience would be an advantage Strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proactive, helpful and friendly manner Please apply with a CV in the first instance.
