Reporting to the General Counsel and Company Secretary, the Legal Counsel will play a key role in providing legal advice on all commercial matters and corporate/commercial projects across Nuffield Health, supporting the continuing development of an efficient, responsive, risk mitigating, and cost-saving internal legal function. As our Legal Counsel, you will: Advise Nuffield Health's Procurement and Consumer teams with the review, drafting, and negotiation of a wide variety of commercial and supply contracts from NDAs to major, high-value, long-term supply agreements to ensure these accurately reflect commercial decisions and requirements. Work closely with our IT Procurement team on IT supply contracts/projects for systems that underpin our business activities, including working closely with our data protection and information governance teams. Support our Marketing team with a variety of sponsorship, contra-deal, collaboration, and partnering agreements as well as advice on related legislation, IP, and Trademark advice. Support the business to meet its strategic priorities, regulatory and compliance obligations, and to minimize its risk. Provide in-house training and know-how to teams across the business on commercial contract and other relevant legal topics. Perform such one-off projects as requested by the General Counsel & Company Secretary, the Senior Executive Team, Hospital Directors, and/or General Managers. Advise the business on new and proposed UK legislative developments and identify risks and benefits to the business. Review, improve, and challenge documentation, policies, and processes. Instruct and engage with our external lawyers as necessary.
