Legal Counsel – Hampshire

With a strong market reputation and a commitment to delivering outstanding quality, they are seeking a commercial Lawyer to join their legal team. About the opportunity: This is a broad legal and commercial role reflecting the innovative multi-disciplinary approach of the business. This high-profile role will provide legal advice and support to the business on commercial and operational matters within the maritime services business. The role will require the candidate to manage a broad spectrum of commercial legal work. The successful candidate will be able to engage with colleagues in a diverse range of functions and backgrounds, as well as drafting, negotiating, agreeing, and managing a wide range of contractual arrangements with customers, suppliers, and industry partners. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support across the function and wider business. The candidate must bring a proactive, business, and solution-oriented mindset to legal matters and a proven ability to work collaboratively across the organisation and the wider legal function. About you: The successful candidate will have at least 4 PQE, having trained in a top UK law firm. You will have experience of commercial or corporate law. Understanding of government contracting processes would be advantageous. Familiarity with competition law, intellectual property, and software licensing would be advantageous. Ideally, you would have experience of working in a fast-paced in-house environment. This role would suit someone who is commercially astute, pragmatic, and who thrives in a collegiate and supportive environment.
