As Legal Counsel, you will deliver legal services, manage, and mitigate legal risks for the JATO Group. Additionally, you will support the strategic objectives and profitable growth of the business, serving as a key strategic partner within a dynamic and diverse organization, and collaborating across all departments. Key Responsibilities

Provide solution-focused advice and support on business issues across the organisation, to ensure that risk is managed and mitigated, and that compliance is maintained with all relevant laws and regulations, while seeking to promote and defend the interests of JATO. Act as a key business partner to the Sales and Contract & Licensing Teams. Review, draft, and advise on a range of commercial contracts, including NDAs, licensing agreements, SaaS agreements, master services agreements and work orders/SOWs with customers. Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts with third party suppliers and provide support on the day-to-day management of commercial and contractual queries. Support the legal needs of strategic initiatives including data acquisition, technology partnerships and projects, new product development, sales and marketing. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations that apply to the business in all jurisdictions in which it operates. Assist with company secretarial services for JATO Dynamics Limited, the main UK entity, and 25 subsidiary companies across the JATO Group. Assist with implementing and improving strategies and processes to deliver legal services to the JATO Group, which includes maintaining the required suite of templates and legal agreements, managing relationships with external counsel and other legal service providers, protecting JATO’s intellectual property, creating business-focused training modules on relevant legal topics and horizon scanning to stay ahead of relevant legal and regulatory changes. Promote legal and compliance best practice throughout the organisation. Work with third-party organisations, such as external counsel, company secretarial advisers, accountants and auditors. Design and deliver legal training to the business. Stay up to date with changes to the laws, rules and regulations that directly affect the JATO Group and its business. Assist with maintaining JATO’s ethics and compliance program and policies in order to uphold JATO’s core values and protect its reputation. Key Requirements

Qualified lawyer in England and Wales with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience, including at least 1 year spent in-house. Trained with a major UK firm. Experience of working for a SAAS business is required. Experience of working for a data business would be a significant advantage. Strong international experience. Automotive industry experience or data organization experience preferable. Problem solver with commercial acumen and highly practical approach. Strong inter-personal skills, including the ability to influence the most senior stakeholders. Balances approachability with a robust approach where required. Technical Skills

Commercial contracts including technology contracts and licensing. A broad corporate and commercial skillset including experience of all or most of the following: data protection and GDPR, intellectual property, compliance program design and management, dispute resolution, company secretarial and governance.
