Elmbridge Borough Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced contracts lawyer to join our dynamic legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of legal matters, from complex commercial contracts to procurement processes, as well as information governance, while contributing to the development and delivery of essential public services. Key responsibilities include: Drafting, negotiating and reviewing a wide variety of contracts, and providing expert legal advice on contract law, procurement law and related regulatory frameworks. Managing a diverse caseload and collaborating with internal client departments to provide the legal support they need, whilst prioritising deadlines. Advising on matters concerning Information Governance and the Council’s obligations arising from the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Data Protection Act 2018.
