The Company

Join one of Llanelli's leading firm of solicitors who are currently in a growth phase and looking for an experienced secretary / administrator to join the Family Law department.

The Role

This position is based in the Family Law department and would suit either an experienced legal secretary / administrator or an applicant from another sector keen to transfer their skills to the legal field. It is a brand new post created due to company expansion and growth. You will work Monday - Friday from 09:00AM - 05:00PM.

The role is to support the Paralegals and Solicitors with all administrative tasks as required.

Duties will include:

Preparation of electronic bundles for court hearings Working on Leap computer system (training on the package will be provided) Typing of briefs and instructions to barristers using digital dictation systems Liaison with barristers, court staff, clients and the internal legal team General administration and organisational duties as required

Requirements

Applicants should have the following skills, experience and attributes: Previous administrative and secretarial experience Exceptional communication skills Solid typing and organisational skills Strong attention to detail is essential for this role Capable of developing relationships and assisting people Must enjoy a busy fast paced environment

This position offers applicants the chance to join a leading practice with a friendly team based environment. The above salary would be the starting rate for a new person to the legal field, however, should you have previous legal experience the salary is highly negotiable. The role offers 23 days leave, plus stats and Christmas / New year shut down days, pension and a bonus based on company performance.
