Legal Secretary – Family Department TSR Legal are working with a leading and award-winning Legal 500-ranked law firm, who are now seeking a skilled Legal Secretary to join their Family Department. This is a full-time position, supporting fee earners by delivering efficient, professional, and friendly secretarial and administrative assistance. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic, fast-growing firm that serves both UK and international clients, with a reputation for long-term client relationships and exceptional service. Key Responsibilities: Providing general secretarial support, including diary management, digital dictation, and file management. Preparing legal documents such as court forms (e.g., Form E, petitions, general applications). Producing court bundles and preparing briefs for counsel. Handling client enquiries professionally, both in person and over the phone. Skills and Experience Required: Essential: Strong administrative skills: Proven ability to maintain accuracy and work efficiently under pressure. Organisational ability: Capable of prioritising workloads from multiple fee earners and managing deadlines with urgency and attention to detail. Proactive mindset: Takes initiative to complete routine tasks without prompting and keeps fee earners informed about ongoing administrative work. IT literacy: Comfortable with technology and open to adapting to new systems and processes. Compliance knowledge: Familiarity with anti-money laundering regulations and adherence to legal compliance protocols. Client service excellence: Demonstrates exceptional client care, controls client enquiry calls effectively, and identifies opportunities for upselling in a professional yet approachable manner. Strong communication skills: Builds rapport with colleagues and clients, communicates professionally, and accepts constructive feedback. Desirable: Previous experience in Family law (legal secretarial experience in other areas of law will also be considered). Commercial awareness: Understands the importance of efficiency, compliance, and quality in ensuring excellent client service and contributing to profitability.
