Please read on! The role We require an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Commercial Real Estate department. This is a full-time position and involves all aspects of secretarial and administration support, including the following: providing efficient and effective secretarial support to fee earners; dealing with file opening/closing; this includes assisting with compliance matters where instruction by fee-earners and includes preparing draft engagement letters and associated documents. assisting with taking client calls or taking messages for the relevant fee earner where appropriate. assisting the team with WIP and other financial management tasks as requested assisting with administration tasks which can include file notes, sending letters, documents and other correspondence. producing and amending all documents including contracts, reports leases, forms and letters with speed, accuracy and formatting in line with house style. preparation of completion statements and invoices for fee earner approval and collating the signing version of documents based on instructions provided. Requirements The ideal candidate will be highly organised, enthusiastic, have the ability to multitask and be able to work independently but also as part of a wider team with a professional, client focussed approach. You will need to be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications such a Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook with an accurate typing speed of at least 60 wpm and experience of using transcription software. You will also be confident in creating, amending and formatting large, complicated documents. Previous secretarial experience in a Real Estate/Commercial Property department is essential.
