The Role:

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Child Care Legal Secretary to join our client's team. In this vital role, you will be assisting their legal professionals in providing quality service to their clients. As the first point of contact for many clients, your empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail will be essential. You'll play a crucial part in preparing documents, managing case files, and supporting our solicitors to deliver the best possible outcomes for families and children.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports. Manage and maintain client files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Coordinate appointments, court dates, and case deadlines with meticulous attention to timelines. Communicate sensitively and effectively with clients, solicitors, and court representatives. Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, document management, and updating client records. Handle billing, invoicing, and time recording for legal services.

About You: Experience:

Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally in family or child care law. Skills:

Strong typing and IT skills (MS Office, case management software) with a keen eye for detail. Communication:

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate empathetically and confidentially. Organisational Skills:

Able to multitask and manage a busy workload in a fast-paced environment. Attitude:

A compassionate, professional approach with a dedication to supporting families and children in challenging situations.

Why Join Our Client? Starting salary of circa £22,500 but negotiable dependent on experience. Office based full-time permanent role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 9am until 5pm with 1 hour for lunch (flexibility on work times may be provided).
