Legal Secretary – Wirral Are you an experienced legal professional looking to make a meaningful impact in mental health law? We are seeking a Legal Secretary to join our dedicated team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting fee earners and ensuring the smooth running of legal operations. Skills Required: Previous Experience and can demonstrate experience working in a firm of solicitors is essential. Previous legal experience in mental health law is desirable. Familiarity with the Mental Health Act and a passion for working in this area is highly valued. Strong organisational and communication skills. Tact, discretion, and resilience under pressure. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. Competence in using Information Technology and digital systems. Responsibilities Audio Typing: Fast and accurate production of correspondence and documents using digital dictation systems. High-Quality Work: Consistently delivering work to a high standard, even under tight deadlines, with exceptional attention to detail. File Management: Opening, closing, and archiving files effectively. Client Communication: Speaking with clients, experts, hospitals, and courts over the phone; taking detailed and concise messages and assisting where appropriate. Diary Management: Organising and updating fee earners’ diaries, including key dates and appointments. Time Recording: Ensuring accurate and timely completion of time recording tasks. Deadline Monitoring: Maintaining careful checks to ensure all deadlines are met. Administrative Duties: Photocopying, scanning, printing, filing, and performing other general administrative tasks. Adaptability: Prioritising effectively and managing changing demands efficiently. What They Offer A supportive and collaborative working environment.
