Swift Placements are supporting our client a true leader in their field recruit an experience Legal Secretary to join their Residential Conveyancing department in Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will have previous experience within Residential Conveyancing and be confident providing support to a team of Solicitors. The Role We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our clients team on a full time permanent basis. You will provide direct support to the Solicitors and Fee earners within the team enabling them to service clients efficiently. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to legal professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of the office and assisting with various tasks related to legal documentation and communication. This role requires strong organisational skills, proficiency in IT applications, and the ability to communicate effectively within a fast-paced legal environment. Duties Daily filing including opening and closing of client files. Prepare and format legal documents and correspondence. Manage calendars and schedule appointments. Book and prepare meeting rooms. Conduct audio typing and digital dictation. Maintain an organised filing system for both electronic and paper documents. Assist with the preparation of case files and documentation for court proceedings. Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties as required, ensuring professionalism at all times. Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing emails, and ordering office supplies. Support other legal secretaries where necessary. Ensure confidentiality at all times. Qualifications 2 years proven experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role within Residential Conveyancing. Experience with digital dictation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organisational skills. Excellent communication skills. A sound understanding of legal terminology and procedures. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
