Due to ongoing growth, they are looking for a professional, organized, and dedicated Legal Secretary to join their team. As a Legal Secretary, you will provide essential administrative and secretarial support to our legal team. Your role will involve handling a variety of legal documents, managing client communications, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation, being the first point of contact for clients and playing an important role in the efficient running of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide secretarial and administrative support to solicitors and legal teams. Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including letters, contracts, and court filings. Manage and organize legal files, ensuring accurate filing and retrieval of documents. Handle incoming calls and client inquiries, providing excellent customer service. Schedule meetings, appointments, and court appearances. Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to legal and ethical standards. Prepare and send client bills, maintaining accurate records of work performed. Assist with the preparation of trial bundles and other legal documents. Coordinate with external parties such as clients, courts, and other legal professionals.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, or in a similar legal administrative role, is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures. Excellent typing and document production skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities. A proactive, adaptable, and professional attitude.
