Legal Support Specialist Are you looking for a career move that will put you at the heart of a global financial institution? The role involves maintaining an awareness of current and developing regulatory requirements applicable to Citi's structured products activity, including the Prospectus Directive, PRIIPs, MiFID, and domestic laws and regulations, to the extent relevant to the supported business activity.

Team/Role Overview The Legal Support Specialist role deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the sub-function/job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies.

What you'll do The overall objective is to assist with drafting, negotiating distribution agreements, drafting terms sheets, supporting high volume trade issues, automating, and streamlining our manual process. This role will also involve advising the business on relevant legal and regulatory issues and automation initiatives. Supports activities related to legal operations, technology, budget/expenses, risk/controls, or administration. Performs varied work requests from multiple sources that may be complex in character and have tight deadlines. Responsible for tasks associated with programs and projects. Provides analysis of matters in support of resolution of situations or to formulate an approach. Liaise with other control and functional businesses in support of project initiatives. Works closely with the team's manager to complete tasks assigned. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

What we'll need from you Experience working in a corporate legal department, law firm, financial services, consulting, technology firm, or related industry. Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, exceptional verbal communication, and listening skills. Knowledge of legal customs and practices. Transaction management and/or project management skills. Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry. Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience.
