City of London £30,000 - £34,000 9am - 5:30pm, Full Time Office Based for Probation Period, 1 Day at Home Per Week After This

Are you a skilled Legal Team Assistant looking for a new challenge? Our client, a reputable law firm specialising in Private Client matters, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join their team. This is a permanent, full-time position with the opportunity for growth and development.

In this role, you will support partners, solicitors, and a trainee in a busy private client department. You will assist in setting up and running files, managing emails and letters, preparing bills, and handling the firm's document management system. You may also have the opportunity for fee-earning work under supervision. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a renowned law firm with a supportive and inclusive work culture.

Duties:

Take messages and handle telephone enquiries. Schedule appointments, arrange meetings, and maintain an up-to-date diary for the fee-earners. Organise travel itineraries. Provide professional and friendly support to clients in person and over the phone. Assist other team assistants as required. Offer guidance to junior and temporary team assistants when needed. Ensure the confidentiality and security of all firm and client documentation and information. Assist with reception duties and general office administration if necessary. Order couriers and manage associated accounting procedures. Undertake specific training as required for self-development.

Requirements:

Trained in secretarial practice with excellent computer skills. Previous experience as a Legal Assistant/Secretary or in an alternative professional office. Ideally, experience in a private client/probate department. A team player who can prioritise work and have high attention to detail. Ability to work independently and use initiative.
